On May 17, 2022 the third meeting of the Municipal Development Coordination Platform of Covenant of Mayors Club was held in Yerevan, organized by the Republican Association of Communities of Armenia and the Country Expert in Armenia.

From April 11 to April 14, 2022 the Inception mission with the participation of Mr. Christophe Frering - Team Leader, Ms. Iryna Horodyska - Capacity Building and Helpdesk Coordinator, Mr. Jan Wanders - Policy and Institutional Relations Coordinator, Mr. Ivan Shchadranok – Regional Coordination Expert and Trainer and Mr. Jahangir Afandiyev - Country Expert for Azerbaijan held meetings with main stakeholders of the CoM initiative in Azerbaijan.

 EU Sustainable Energy Days

On April 28-29, the project team led by the Team Leader Christoph Frering together with the expert on institutional relations Jan Waanders and Irina Plis, the national expert in the Republic of Moldova, held introductory meetings with key partners: national coordinators - the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Moldova, the Agency for Energy Efficiency, support structures - the Congress of Local Authorities of Moldova (CALM) and AEER, local public authorities - signatories of the Covenant of Mayors, as well as representatives of UNDP in Moldova, NEFCO, Green City Lab.

On 13 April 2022, six Azerbaijani cities have been formally welcomed by the Ministry of Energy as newsignatories during the launching event of the next stage of the EU-financed Covenant of Mayors -Eastern Partnership programme.
