The Guidelines contain a description of the phases of technical implementation of demonstration projects, logical sequence of stages, roles and tasks of the project team, reporting and results of each phase, commodity/services suppliers contracted by the project as well as the role of the Support Team and the EU Delegation.
CoM-DeP: Project Implementation Guidelines
These Guidelines have been developed in order to support project teams in project management, as well as to provide them with better understanding of how to manage a project and efficiently and rationally implement it, following the EU rules and procedures, as well as how to minimize any risks of their mismatch.
Ukraine: Projects implementation within the framework of energy and climate policy - project management
On December 4, from 10:00 to 13:00, an online event was held on the topic of project management at the community level with the support of the Covenant of Mayors National Coordinator - Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.

‘Covenant of Mayors East’ held an online awareness-raising event in the Republic of Moldova about the benefits of participation in the initiative. The event targeted inactive and potential signatories of ‘Covenant of Mayors East’ in the country.
Ukraine, Mariupol: Energy management system ISO 50001
Mariupol as CoM Signatory has the ambitious policy for reducing GHG emission at local level which includes mitigation and adaptation measures for addressing climate challenges. Therefore, it was important to implement ISO 50001 standard and conserving resources and improving the bottom line through efficient energy management.
Ukraine, Myrhorod: Modernisation of the district heating system
Modernisation of the District Heating system included two sub-projects:
• Local Alternative Energy Sources in Myrhorod (2013 - 2015);
• Modernization of district heating and introduction of demand driven heat supply (2016 - 2018).
The aim of these two sub-projects was to increase efficiency of the local district heating system, introduce using of local biomass for heat energy production, improve the quality of services for heat energy and hot water supply, reduce CO2 emissions and energy bills. The projects were implemented, in cooperation with the Myrhorod municipality and with the support of Poltava regional state administration as CoM Territorial Coordinator.
Armenia, Spitak: Full thermal insulation of multi-apartment buildings
Within the EU-funded "Access to Renewable and Efficient Energy in Municipalities Vayk and Spitak" (AREEM) Project replicable and efficient models of energy-saving are developed and tested in the municipalities of Spitak and Vayk through use of efficient measures and renewable energy sources in residential and public buildings. The project is implemented by Habitat for Humanity Armenia Foundation.
