Within the framework of the EU Sustainable Energy Week, Zasullia Village Council won a certificate, which allowed them to purchase the seedlings of ornamental trees in the amount of over 7 thousand UAH and plant it.

In July, a competition for the title of "Energy management Star" was held within the framework of the European Sustainable Energy Week with the participation of the energy efficiency sector of the management of housing and communal services, improvement and ecology of the Ternopil City Council.

As part of the program of study visits within the framework of "City to City" concept of the "Covenant of Mayors - East" project, representatives of the energy teams of seven Ukrainian cities-signatories of the Covenant of Mayors gathered in Zhytomyr on September 2-4, 2020.

The EU has published a study on the investment gaps in the energy, climate and environment sectors in municipalities in the Eastern partnership countries.

By organizing 29 various digital and outdoor events the teams of 11 Georgian CoM signatories fought over the prizes in the CoM East contest for the "Best Digital Sustainable Energy Day-2020 Organizer", conducted by the CoM East together with the Energy Efficiency Center Georgia, which is the Covenant Supporter in Georgia. On July 10, 2020 during the online presentation of entries for the contest the best 3 organizers were announced. The best 3 organizers of the Sustainable Energy Days and prize winners became representatives of Mtskheta municipality - the 1st place, Gori and Bolnisi municipalities, the 2nd and 3rd place winners accordingly. All participating municipalities also received certificates of participation in Sustainable Energy Week EUSEW2020.

By sending their selfies shot against the renewable energy/energy efficiency technologies photo enthusiasts from Georgian CoM signatories fought over the prizes in the CoM East photo contest “We Go Sustainable”, conducted by the CoM East together with the Energy Efficiency Center Georgia, which is the Covenant Supporter in Georgia.

22 – 26 ივნისს საქართველოში მდგრადი ენერგეტიკის კვირეული ტარდება. ამით ქვეყანა უერთდება ევროკავშირის ანალოგიურ კვირეულს, რომელიც 2006 წლიდან ტარდება და მისი მიზანია, ხელი შეუწყოს გამოცდილების გაცვლას და ახალი იდეების წახალისებას სათბური აირების გაფრქვევის, ენერგოეფექტურობისა და განახლებადი ენერგიის საკითხებთან დაკავშირებით, ევროკავშირის კლიმატისა და ენერგიის მიზნების მისაღწევად.

ეკონომიკისა და მდგრადი განვითარების მინისტრის ნათია თურნავას განცხადებით, მდგრადი ენერგეტიკის განვითარება უმნიშვნელოვანესია საქართველოს ენერგეტიკული დამოუკიდებლობის მისაღწევად.
